Kaohsiung is the furthest south I traveled and had a handful of interesting places to visit.
One of the cooler spots I had a chance to visit was the WeiWu Mi Mi Village. Tons of colorful and outstanding mural work.
The Pier2 Art Center included a larger mall, a park with numerous kite flyers out and about, and a long walking path that included these peices.
Kaohsiung was the home of the first graffiti store I visited, Mess-age studio. I was able to snag a handful of zines and some art from niclelin. Very, very friendly people at this shop.
The last few are a bit of story. The three-eyed creature was popping up all over Taiwan during my visit. I first spotted a few in Taipei and would find some small or large piece of theirs in every city working my way down south. One night while befriending some of the staff at ONE.bar I had mentioned this artist and my quest to find out who they were. It turns out that the woman running the bar is friends with the artist, DWANG, and got me in touch with them. I ended up taking the high speed rail a few times between Tainan and Kaohsiung to grab a sticker pack DWANG had left for me, which I am very grateful for.
